Simulcast or acceptance of wager on greyhound dog racing by racing meeting licensee prohibited; running horse racing meeting licensee to conduct not less than 20 live racing days at thoroughbred horse racing track

Section 9. Notwithstanding sections 1 to 8, inclusive, or any other general or special law to the contrary, no racing meeting licensee, including licensees holding racing meetings in connection with a state or county fair as defined in section 1 of chapter 128A, shall simulcast or accept a wager on greyhound dog racing, and a running horse racing meeting licensee shall conduct not less than 20 live racing days at a thoroughbred horse racing track, provided, the commission may waive this requirement as necessary and appropriate to ensure the financial ability of the licensee to develop and operate a race track.
