Section 24E. No person shall hold himself out as a pharmacy technician registered by the board of pharmacy unless that person is registered in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. Any person acting or purporting to act as a pharmacy technician registered by the board of pharmacy without being registered to practice under this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon a conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than $5,000 or by imprisonment for a term not to exceed one year or both. Upon conviction of a subsequent violation, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $10,000 or by two years imprisonment or both.
