(a) (1) After consultation with the Commission, the Governor shall appoint a competent, qualified individual as State Archivist. (2) The State Archivist shall: (i) be knowledgeable in subjects relevant to archival activities; and (ii) possess experience in archival or related fields. (b) The State Archivist is entitled to a salary as provided in the State budget.
