The Office shall: (1) encourage volunteering throughout the State by individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations; (2) promote the use of volunteers in State and local government; (3) identify governmental agencies where private sector involvement in volunteer programs can be of assistance and provide technical assistance in developing such programs; and (4) provide information services to volunteer programs and government units throughout the State.
