(a) There is a Certified Local Farm and Fish Food Aggregation Grant Fund. (b) The purpose of the Fund is to support the creation of food aggregation, storage, processing, and distribution sites across the State through grants and near- equity investments. (c) The Maryland Agricultural and Resource-Based Industry Development Corporation shall administer the Fund. (d) The Fund consists of: (1) money appropriated in the State budget to the Fund; (2) principal that is repaid from near-equity investments; and (3) any other money from any other source accepted for the benefit of the Fund. (e) The Fund may be used only for establishing and operating food aggregation, storage, processing, and distribution sites across the State through grants and near-equity investments.
