(a) (1) The Governor shall appoint a Deputy Assistant Adjutant General for the Maryland Army National Guard. (2) The Deputy Assistant Adjutant General serves at the pleasure of the Adjutant General. (b) The Deputy Assistant Adjutant General for the Maryland Army National Guard shall: (1) have a commissioned grade not above that of Brigadier General; and (2) perform the military duties assigned by the Governor or the Adjutant General.
