(a) The Governor may adopt regulations that provide for the retirement of officers and enlisted individuals. (b) The Governor may order a retired officer or enlisted individual to active duty. (c) (1) There is a retired list exclusively restricted to retired officers and enlisted individuals of the organized militia. (2) The retired list shall be divided into three groups of retired individuals: (i) the National Guard; (ii) the Maryland Defense Force; and (iii) the Inactive National Guard.
