(a) The General Assembly finds that there have been many incidents of danger to public safety because of improper or inadequate construction, installation, maintenance, use, repair, or inspection of boilers and pressure vessels that operate in the State. (b) The intent of this subtitle is to establish boiler and pressure vessel safety standards in the State to provide a level consistent with the needs of public safety.
