The Department may accept the use of land to be used for auxiliary State forest reserves and enter into agreements with the owners as necessary. The land is subject to all laws, rules, and regulations governing State forest reserves. However, no money appropriated to the Department may be used or expended on auxiliary State forests for permanent improvements or for any purpose other than supervision, opening of trails, the building of temporary structures to make the land available for campers and visitors, and protection of the land from fire and trespass.
