The lands between the mud flats at Brooklyn and the Liberty Reservoir on
either side of the Patapsco River, in Anne Arundel, Carroll, Howard, and Baltimore
counties, within a distance of 1 mile on either side from the medial line of the river,
or either of its branches, having been purchased by the State, shall be held by the
State as a State park under the protection and administration of the Department
which shall exercise the same power of making rules and regulations and managing
the land as any other State park. The territory acquired is subject to all the general
laws passed by the legislature not inconsistent with this section.
