(a) There is a Prince George's County Agricultural Preservation Easement Fund. (b) The county planning board shall administer the Fund. (c) The Fund consists of revenues from county metropolitan district taxes or county regional district taxes. (d) The purposes of the Fund are to: (1) preserve, protect, and enhance agricultural properties; and (2) implement the purposes of the Program. (e) (1) The Fund shall be used to purchase easements to implement the Program. (2) In deciding which easements to purchase using the Fund, the county planning board shall: (i) exercise prudence and due diligence; and (ii) consider the recommendations of the District.
