(a) This section applies only: (1) to commissioners appointed from Montgomery County; and (2) from the date of a commissioner's appointment until the end of the commissioner's tenure on the Commission. (b) A commissioner may not: (1) solicit or accept from any person with business before the Commission a financial contribution for any political candidate, political organization, or ballot question; or (2) solicit from any person with business before the Commission an endorsement of or opposition to a political candidate.
