(a) (1) The County Commissioners of Charles County shall designate
county roads that are not accessible for through traffic by motor vehicles that are over
26,000 pounds.
(2) The designation of county roads shall:
(i) have a reasonable relationship to the construction, use,
and character of the roads; and
(ii) be designed to assure the continued safety and good
condition of the roads.
(b) The County Commissioners of Charles County shall provide for the
installation of traffic control devices that give notice of the restricted access to the
designated roads on or at the entrances to the roads.
(c) A person who violates an ordinance or regulation adopted under this
section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not
exceeding 60 days or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.
