(a) If a group policy of long-term care insurance is replaced by another group policy of long-term care insurance purchased by the same policyholder, the succeeding carrier shall offer coverage to each insured who was covered under the old group policy on its date of termination. (b) Coverage under the new group policy of long-term care insurance may not result in an exclusion for preexisting conditions that would have been covered under the group policy being replaced.
