(a) The Board shall reinstate the license of a nursing home administrator who has failed to renew the license for any reason, if the licensee: (1) Has not had the license suspended or revoked; (2) Meets the renewal requirements of § 9-311 of this subtitle; (3) Pays to the Board the reinstatement fee set by the Board; (4) Submits to the Board satisfactory evidence of compliance with the qualifications and requirements established under this title for license reinstatements; and (5) Applies to the Board for reinstatement of the license within 5 years after the license expires. (b) The Board may not reinstate the license of a nursing home administrator who fails to apply for reinstatement of the license within 5 years after the license expires. However, the nursing home administrator may become licensed by meeting the current requirements for obtaining a new license under this title.
