(a) Unless authorized to practice direct-entry midwifery, an individual may not represent to the public by title, description of service, method, procedure, or otherwise, that the individual is authorized to practice direct-entry midwifery in the State. (b) A licensee may not advertise in a manner that is unreasonable, misleading, or fraudulent. (c) Unless authorized to practice direct-entry midwifery under this subtitle, an individual may not use the abbreviation "LDEM" or use the designation "licensed direct-entry midwife". (d) Unless authorized to practice direct-entry midwifery under this subtitle or certified as a nurse midwife under this title, an individual may not use the designation "midwife".
