(a) Unless authorized to practice genetic counseling under this subtitle, a person may not represent to the public by title, by description of services, methods, or procedures, or otherwise, that the person is authorized to practice genetic counseling in this State. (b) Unless authorized to practice genetic counseling under this subtitle, a person may not use the titles "genetic counselor", "licensed genetic counselor", "certified genetic counselor", "gene counselor", "genetic consultant", "genetic associate", or any words, letters, or symbols with the intent to imply that the person practices genetic counseling or is a certified genetic counselor or licensed genetic counselor.
