A health care provider is not subject to criminal prosecution or civil liability or deemed to have engaged in unprofessional conduct as determined by the appropriate licensing authority for: (1) Failure to access an electronic advance directives service recognized by the Maryland Health Care Commission; or (2) Relying on information provided by an electronic advance directives service recognized by the Maryland Health Care Commission.
