An advance directive, an emergency medical services "do not resuscitate
order", or an order regarding life-sustaining treatment executed in another state
shall be deemed to be validly executed for the purposes of this subtitle if executed in
compliance with the laws of Maryland or the laws of the state where executed.
Advance directives, emergency medical services "do not resuscitate orders", or an
order regarding life-sustaining treatment executed in another state shall be
construed to give effect to the patient's wishes to the extent permitted by the laws of
Maryland.
