(a) A standby guardian's authority under this subtitle may not, itself, divest a parent of any parental or guardianship rights. (b) The authority of a standby guardian with respect to the minor is limited to the express authority granted to the standby guardian by a court under this subtitle. (c) The appointment of a standby guardian of a minor under this subtitle may not be construed to require the termination of parental rights with respect to the minor under Title 5 of the Family Law Article.
