(a) In addition to the powers set forth elsewhere in this subtitle, a sanitary commission may: (1) Determine the number of other officers, agents, and employees of the district; and (2) Determine the powers, duties, and compensation of other officers, agents, and employees of the district. (b) A sanitary commission may appoint a sanitary commissioner to any office of the district, set the compensation for that office, and require that the compensation be paid by the member county represented by that sanitary commissioner.
