(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated. (b) "Extremely hazardous substance" means a substance that is defined as an extremely hazardous substance under § 329(3) of the federal Act. (c) "Facility" means a facility that is subject to the federal Act. (d) "Federal Act" means the federal Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986. (e) "Fund" means the Maryland Community Right-to-Know Fund established under § 7-604 of this subtitle. (f) "Hazardous chemical" has the meaning stated in 42 U.S.C. § 11021(e). (g) "Local emergency planning committee", or "LEPC", has the meaning stated in 40 C.F.R. 355.20. (h) "Responsible person" means an owner or operator of a facility that is required to report under the federal Act.
