(a) To facilitate the transfer of school-aged student dependents of active service members to and from the public schools of this State, the State Board shall pursue reciprocity agreements with other states regarding the terms of those student transfers. (b) A reciprocity agreement shall include procedures for: (1) The timely transfer of student records; (2) Awarding credit for completed course work; (3) Allowing a student to satisfy the graduation requirements of § 7- 205 of this title through successful completion of comparable courses in another state; and (4) Allowing a student to satisfy the requirements of the Maryland high school assessments through successful performance on comparable exit-level or high standard assessments administered in another state.
