(a) Subject to the requirements of this section, the Department may assign
a unique identification number to each teacher employed by a public school in the
State.
(b) The identification number must be randomly generated and may not
provide personally identifiable information about the individual to whom it is
assigned.
(c) The identification number shall be limited to use in reporting for
educational purposes only:
(1) To match data from multiple data collections and years; and
(2) To meet State and federal reporting requirements.
