(a) In this section, "returned Peace Corps volunteer" means a person who has been certified by the Director of the Peace Corps as having served satisfactorily as a Peace Corps volunteer. (b) A returned Peace Corps volunteer who attends a public institution of higher education in the State is exempt from paying nonresident tuition at a public institution of higher education in the State if the returned Peace Corps volunteer is domiciled in the State. (c) A student who attends a community college in the State and pays tuition as provided in subsection (b) of this section shall be included as an in-State resident for computation of State aid to community colleges in accordance with §§ 16-305 and 16-512 of this article. (d) The Commission shall adopt regulations to implement the provisions of this section.
