A committee may: (1) report to the Commissioner of Correction and the Governor about the concerns of the people who reside in the vicinity of each State correctional facility assigned to the committee; (2) be available to interpret programs and problems relating to each State correctional facility assigned to the committee to the people who reside in the vicinity of each facility; and (3) perform other services and responsibilities considered necessary.
