(a) (1) The sheriff shall suspend a license if the licensee fails to comply
with the reporting requirements of § 13-2504 of this subtitle.
(2) The suspension shall continue until the licensee meets the
reporting requirements of § 13-2504 of this subtitle.
(b) Except as provided in subsection (a) of this section and subject to the
procedures provided in subsection (c) of this section, the sheriff may not issue a new
license for 1 year to a licensee that:
(1) has refused to file a report required under § 13-2504 of this
subtitle; or
(2) has failed to comply with this subtitle.
(c) (1) The sheriff shall notify the licensee or applicant for a license by
registered mail of the sheriff's suspension or refusal to issue a license.

(2) The licensee or applicant may appeal the decision in writing to
the sheriff within 30 days after receiving the notice from the sheriff.
