(a) A person may not assert a false claim under this subtitle. (b) A person who violates this section: (1) is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not less than $500; and (2) shall forfeit any benefit received and reimburse the State for payments received or paid on the person's behalf under this subtitle.
