Maryland Code § CJ-3-601

Section CJ-3-601

A court may not refuse to specifically enforce a contract on the ground that the
party seeking specific enforcement has an adequate remedy in damages unless the
party resisting specific enforcement shall:
(1) Prove that the party has property from which the damages may
be collected; or
(2) Give bond in an amount to be determined by the court and with
security approved by the court, to perform the contract or pay all costs and damages
that may be adjudged for breach or nonperformance against the party resisting
specific enforcement.
