(a) A person must have applied to register appropriately with the Secretary of State whenever the person acts as: (1) an associate solicitor; (2) a professional solicitor; or (3) a fund-raising counsel. (b) If, within 10 days after a person starts employment as an associate solicitor, the person's name is submitted to the Secretary of State in accordance with this subtitle, the person is deemed to be registered on the first day of employment.
