(a) The Department shall approve training programs that an individual may complete to satisfy the domestic violence awareness training requirements of this title. (b) A training program approved under subsection (a) of this section must: (1) be offered in person and virtually; (2) include guidance on: (i) recognizing the signs of domestic violence; (ii) strategies to navigate conversations with clients who may be victims of domestic violence; (iii) how to listen to and communicate with victims of domestic violence; and (iv) connecting clients with resources and support groups for victims of domestic violence; and (3) have a duration of at least 1 hour.
