(a) The Commission, in accordance with the State budget, may employ: (1) a general staff; and (2) an investigative staff to conduct investigations. (b) While employed by the Commission, an individual may not: (1) be licensed in any state as a real estate appraiser or home inspector; (2) engage in any act for which a license is required under this title; or (3) in connection with any real estate appraisal transaction or home inspection engagement, directly or indirectly receive or become entitled to receive any compensation, fee, or perquisite.
