(a) (1) The Board, with the approval of the Secretary, may appoint a
qualified inspector to act as its agent and make inspections throughout the State.
(2) The inspector is entitled to:
(i) A salary in accordance with the State budget; and
(ii) Reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State
Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.
(b) (1) The Board may designate officers of county humane societies,
societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals, or licensed veterinarians to:
(i) Act as its agent; and
(ii) Make routine inspections.
(2) An inspector designated under paragraph (1) of this subsection:
(i) May not receive compensation; but
(ii) Is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the
Standard State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.
