(a) The Board may appoint a Chief Inspector and at least 14 inspectors. (b) (1) Subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, the Chief Inspector and each other inspector may examine any identification used as proof of age by an individual to purchase alcoholic beverages. (2) The examination shall be made on the premises of the licensed establishment where the purchase is attempted. (c) (1) Subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, the salaries of the Chief Inspector and each other inspector shall be as set forth in the county budget. (2) (i) The salary of the Chief Inspector may not be less than $9,500 a year. (ii) The salary of each other inspector may not be less than $9,000 a year.
