(a) (1) Subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, an inspector may examine any identification used as proof of age by an individual to purchase alcoholic beverages. (2) The examination shall be made on the premises of the licensed establishment where the purchase is attempted. (b) An inspector may serve a summons under § 12-2603 of this title.
