(a) In this section, "premises" means:
(1) a restaurant, tavern, hotel, club, dance studio, disco, or place of
public entertainment;
(2) a place open to the public; or

(3) a place licensed by the State or the county.
(b) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, a person
may not provide or allow to be consumed on the premises or on premises under its
possession or control any alcoholic beverages other than as specifically allowed under
this article.
(2) Paragraph (1) of this subsection does not apply to the room of a
registered guest in a hotel, motel, or hospice.
(c) A person who knowingly allows consumption in violation of this section
is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $250.
