Maine Code § 9-5017

Denial or refusal to renew license; disciplinary action

The director or the director's designee may deny the license application, refuse to renew the license
or suspend or revoke the license of a person or an entity that has been, or whose principals, officers,
directors, employees or fundraisers have been, convicted of, found guilty of, pled guilty or nolo
contendere to or have been incarcerated by any federal or state court for any felony or for any
misdemeanor involving dishonesty, including, but not limited to, fraud, theft, larceny, embezzlement
or any crime arising from the conduct of a solicitation for a charitable organization. [PL 2013, c. 313,
§25 (AMD).]
The director or the director's designee may deny a license, refuse to renew a license or impose the
disciplinary sanctions authorized under Title 10, section 8003, subsection 5-A for any of the reasons
enumerated in Title 10, section 8003, subsection 5-A, paragraph A. [PL 2013, c. 313, §25 (AMD).]
