Maine Code § 4-1613

Liberal construction

This Act, being necessary for the welfare of the State and its inhabitants, shall be liberally construed
to effect its purposes. To the extent of any conflict between this Act and any other law, this Act shall
prevail, but the power and authority granted by this Act shall be considered to be in addition to and not
in derogation of power and authority granted by any other law. [PL 1987, c. 438, §1 (NEW).]
