The treasurer of the district may collect the rates, tolls, assessments, rents, tipping fees, transportation charges and other charges established by the district and those charges must be committed to the treasurer. The treasurer may, after demand for payment, sue in the name of the district in a civil action for any rate, toll, rent, assessment, tipping fee, transportation charge or other charges remaining unpaid in any court of competent jurisdiction. In addition, the treasurer may order the termination of service for nonpayment of any amount owed to the district. [RR 2021, c. 2, Pt. B, §296 (COR).]
