Maine Code § 38-11

Definitions

As used in this subchapter, unless the context otherwise indicates, the following terms have the

1. Municipal resident. "Municipal resident" means any person who occupies a dwelling within
the municipality for more than 180 days in a calendar year. A municipality may by ordinance include
other persons in the definition of resident.

2. Parcel of land. "Parcel of land" means the larger of the minimal buildable lot size in the
municipality or 20,000 square feet and, in either case, including 100 feet of shoreline frontage.

3. Watercraft. "Watercraft" means any type of vessel, boat, barge, float or craft used or capable
of being used as a means of transportation on water other than a seaplane.
