The following provisions facilitate coordination of municipal planning and sewer extension planning. [PL 2013, c. 555, §6 (NEW).] 1. Growth management. The trustees of a sewer district shall cooperate with municipal officials in the development of municipal growth management and other land use plans and ordinances. [PL 2013, c. 555, §6 (NEW).] 2. Development that affects the district. Municipal officers shall cooperate with the trustees of a sewer district during the consideration of development applications that may affect the operations of the sewer district. [PL 2013, c. 555, §6 (NEW).] This section is deemed to be incorporated into the private and special laws governing a sewer district, and any part of a sewer district charter not in conformity with this section is void, unless the sewer district's charter expressly references this section or former section 1252, subsection 9 and specifically provides that this section or former section 1252, subsection 9 does not apply. [PL 2013, c. 555, §6 (NEW).]
