Coordination with municipal planning; applicable to all sewer districts

The following provisions facilitate coordination of municipal planning and sewer extension
planning. [PL 2013, c. 555, §6 (NEW).]
1. Growth management. The trustees of a sewer district shall cooperate with municipal officials
in the development of municipal growth management and other land use plans and ordinances.

2. Development that affects the district. Municipal officers shall cooperate with the trustees of
a sewer district during the consideration of development applications that may affect the operations of
the sewer district.

This section is deemed to be incorporated into the private and special laws governing a sewer
district, and any part of a sewer district charter not in conformity with this section is void, unless the
sewer district's charter expressly references this section or former section 1252, subsection 9 and
specifically provides that this section or former section 1252, subsection 9 does not apply. [PL 2013,
