Maine Code § 33-205

Certified copies of deeds recorded in other registries

If a deed conveying lands in more than one county is lost before being recorded in all, or if a deed
is recorded in the wrong county or registry district and lost, a certified copy from a registry where it
has been recorded may be recorded in another county or registry district with the same effect as a record
of the original.
