In order to carry out the purposes of this Act, the administrator may, subject to the provisions of
section 6080, subsections 1 and 2: [PL 2023, c. 662, §2 (NEW).]

1. Licensing. Require licensing under this Act through NMLS. The administrator is authorized to
participate in the nationwide mortgage licensing system and registry;

2. Agreements. Enter into agreements or relationships with other government officials or federal
and state regulatory agencies and regulatory associations in order to improve efficiencies and reduce
regulatory burden by standardizing methods or procedures and sharing resources, records or related
information obtained under this Act;

3. Examination and investigation. Use, hire, contract or employ analytical systems, methods or
software to examine or investigate any person subject to this Act;

4. Reports. Accept from state or federal government agencies or officials licensing, examination
or investigation reports made by those state or federal government agencies or officials; and

5. Audit reports. Accept audit reports made by an independent certified public accountant or
other qualified 3rd-party auditor for an applicant or licensee and incorporate the audit report in a report
of examination or investigation.
