Municipal licenses not required; municipal permits

A municipality, notwithstanding any provision of a municipal charter, may not require an oil and
solid fuel burning technician or a propane and natural gas technician to be municipally licensed. A
municipality may not issue a permit for an oil, solid fuel, propane or natural gas burning installation
unless satisfied that the person applying for the permit complies with the requirements of this chapter.
