Commissioner; powers and duties

The commissioner or the commissioner's designee has the following powers and duties in addition to all other powers and duties set forth in this chapter. [PL 1991, c. 403, §1 (NEW).]
1. Standards.
The commissioner shall administer and enforce this chapter.

2. Rules.
The commissioner shall adopt rules in accordance with the Maine Administrative Procedure Act necessary to carry out the purposes of this chapter.
