A person is eligible to obtain a license under this chapter for the practice of aesthetics if that person: [PL 1991, c. 397, §6 (NEW).] 1. Age. [PL 2019, c. 373, §32 (RP).] 2. Education. [PL 2019, c. 373, §32 (RP).] 3. Training. Has satisfactorily completed a course of instruction in aesthetics of 600 hours in not less than 3 months in a school licensed by the director or has experience in the practice of aesthetics as a trainee of up to 1,000 hours distributed over a period of at least 6 months. The specific number of hours of course work required up to a maximum of 600 hours must be specified by rule. Rules adopted pursuant to this subsection are routine technical rules as defined in Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A; and [PL 2009, c. 369, Pt. B, §23 (AMD).] 4. Examination.
