Qualifications; aesthetics

A person is eligible to obtain a license under this chapter for the practice of aesthetics if that person:

1. Age.

3. Training. Has satisfactorily completed a course of instruction in aesthetics of 600 hours in not
less than 3 months in a school licensed by the director or has experience in the practice of aesthetics as
a trainee of up to 1,000 hours distributed over a period of at least 6 months. The specific number of
hours of course work required up to a maximum of 600 hours must be specified by rule. Rules adopted
pursuant to this subsection are routine technical rules as defined in Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A;
and

4. Examination. Has passed an approved examination.
