Municipal licenses not required; municipal permits

A municipality, notwithstanding provisions in charters or ordinances to the contrary, may not
require licensed electricians to be municipally licensed, and a municipality may not issue a permit for
an electrical installation unless satisfied that the person applying for the permit complies with this
