Maine Code § 3-953

Definitions

As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise indicates, the following terms have the
following meanings. [PL 1995, c. 488, §2 (NEW).]
1. Agency. "Agency" means a governmental entity subject to review pursuant to this chapter, but
not subject to automatic termination.

2. Committee or committee of jurisdiction. "Committee or committee of jurisdiction" means
the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over the same policy and substantive
matters as an agency subject to review under this chapter.

3. Independent agency. "Independent agency" means a governmental entity subject to review
and to termination pursuant to this chapter.
