The applicable provisions of this chapter shall apply as to: [PL 1969, c. 132, §1 (NEW).] 1. All insurers authorized to transact insurance in this State; [PL 1969, c. 132, §1 (NEW).] 2. All insurers having policyholders resident in this State; [PL 1969, c. 132, §1 (NEW).] 3. All insurers against whom a claim under an insurance contract may arise in this State; [PL 1969, c. 132, §1 (NEW).] 4. All persons in process of organization, or holding themselves out as organizing, or proposing to organize in this State for the purpose of becoming an insurer; [PL 2001, c. 88, §10 (AMD).] 5. All other persons as to whom such provisions are otherwise expressly made applicable by law; and [PL 2001, c. 88, §10 (AMD).] 6. Health maintenance organizations, which are considered insurers for the purposes of this subchapter and subchapter II. [PL 2001, c. 88, §11 (NEW).]
