Authority to transact additional kinds of insurance

After being authorized to transact one kind or combination of kinds of insurance as provided in
section 3352, a mutual insurer may be authorized by the superintendent to transact such additional kinds
of insurance as are permitted under section 409 (combinations of insuring powers), while otherwise in
compliance with this Title and while maintaining unimpaired surplus and guaranty capital funds in an
amount not less than the amount of paid-in capital stock required to be maintained by a like domestic
stock insurer transacting the same kinds of insurance. [PL 1969, c. 132, §1 (NEW); PL 1973, c.
